Current Generation: (2007–present) Premio T260[]
The third generation was released in mid-2007. It pioneered new version of Toyota's 1.8L and 2.0L petrol engines.
Second generation (2003–2007) Premio T240[]
This was the first generation to have the Corona brand dropped. It saw an increase in the wheelbase, up from 2600 to 2700 mm, trendy curves in the exterior design resulting in an even more spacey interior than the previous generation.
The Premio was offered in 1.5, 1.8 and 2.0 petrol only engines. Sister car Allion had similar equipment but was aimed at a younger market with a more sporty look.
First Generation/Origins (1996–2002) Corona Premio T210[]
The Premio first appeared as a 1996-2002 model called Corona Premio (T210), meant to be the last in the long lasting Toyota Corona mid-size car. Designed to fit the Japanese No.5 tax requirements (4.7m x 1.7m max, 2.0L max), this was the last Corona sold in Japan. Engines available were 1.6L, 2.0L petrol; 2.0L and 2.2L diesel.
The european version of Corona was called Avensis (T220), which also sprout to a separate model - the actual Toyota Avensis, designed for the Euro market rather than Japanese.
