The TOYOTA ECHO/PLATZ started production August 1999 and was sold in the US, Japan and Canada. It was sold in China under the name Xiali 2000 from 2000-2004 and as the Xiali Vela from 2004-2012. This car offered 1.0 liter, 1.3 liter and 1.5 liter engines, all with VVT-i Technology which offered decent power and good mpg.

Recent ChangesEdit

In 2003 the Platz/Echo was facelifted and offered a new front and rear fascia with new headlights, fog lights and taillights. The license plate placement was moved from the bumper to the center of the trunk lid. Also a improved ECU from 16 BIT to 32 BIT.
