According to Mobilmotor magazine,the car has problems with front visibility.This can be dangerous in heavy traffic,despite of its tall ground clearance.

The newest Fortuner was introduced in 2011.It now has the vibrant clarity design,following the design trend of Toyota.The wood trim is now black,rather than brown.Interior detais has been changed.
Second generation (2009-2010)[]
Second generarion of Fortuner has a restyled front fascia which resembles other Toyota SUVs such as the Land Cruiser,Rav4,and Sequoia.The new rear lights resembles the 2009 South East Asian Camry.
First Generation/Origins (2005-2008)[]
The first generation of Fortuner was a restyled Toyota Hilux with a covered bed and third row seats.The early generation has a similar front design to HIlux,however,since the ground clearance of Fortuner is taller,the Hilux look less attractive.
