The Subaru Impreza WRX STI Takumi Concept is a 5-door hatchback concept that made it's maden rebut at the 2008 Tokyo Motor Show. The Takumi was a oreview of the upcoming Spec-C Impreza. The name Takumi might be familiar to you but it's likely not the main character from Initial D. The changes of the car are mostly focused in the suspension and Wishbones to boost grip from the tires and to shave down 70 kilos (or 155 Lbs). The car was discovered by Le Blog Auto as they were visiting Japan to find something unique, this news was spred to a few Car sites but information is scarce, meaning the Pearl White Metallic beauty will forever stay in the shadows of it's production brethren.

Unique Attributes[]
The Spec-C, like the Takumi Concept, features little in the way of exterior modifications, instead preferring to flaunt its wares beneath the bonnet and deep inside the wheelwells. The Takumi apparently utilises a comprehensively reworked suspension, with new links, arms, springs, dampers and anti-roll bars all combining to turn the STI into an apex-carving beast of a car.
Le Blog Auto (The People Who Discovered The Car) made no mention of any power-adders (the Spec-C boasts some 239kW from its EJ20) or indeed of the 6-piston Brembos and close-ratio 6-speed the Spec-C had, so the Takumi is just be some STI engineer’s after-hours project.
