In Popular Culture[]

  • The Mini is well known in the British sitcom Mr Bean where he owns a lime green Mini with a black bonnet and a padlock in the driver's door. According to the Mr Bean website, he loved lime green cars after seeing one at the age of 7 and as a teenager, he bought the lime green Mini at £57 (without the engine included in value) sadly in the episode Back To School.
  • In the film Mr Bean's Holiday, movie star Sabrine owned a similar Mini owned by Mr Bean.
  • The Mini was the star of the 1969 film The Italian Job.
  • In the TV series Heartbeat a mini van is often used as one of the police vehicles, as well as Phil Bellamy owning one himself.
  • Automotive YouTuber MightyCarMods own a JDM Mini Classic which they engine swapped with a Honda Civic Engine. They call this Mini the V-TEC Mini.
