The Lamborghini Pregunta (also known as the Heuliez Pregunta Roadster) is a supercar prototype unveiled by the Italian carmaker Lamborghini at the 1998 Paris Motor Show . It was developed by the French car company Heuliez. It was the company's last concept car before Lamborghini was acquired by Volkswagen.

Name

  • The word Pregunta in Spanish means "question."

Development

The car was built on the Lamborghini Diablo chassis , from which it also inherited the body and engine. The exterior of the car was futuristic, its developers were guided by the Dassault Rafale fighter jet. The front bumper housed a spoiler, two large air intakes and xenon headlights , divided into several parts. There were also smaller air intakes on the sides, and the lights, like the headlights, consisted of separate segments. Like the Diablo, the Pregunta had guillotine-type doors. The roof of the supercar was removable.

Inside, the car was divided into a sporty driver's section and a comfortable passenger section. The seats were trimmed in black and blue Alcantara , and the instrument panel, made by Magnetti Marelli, was also in these colors. In the middle was an LCD screen that received data from the rear-view camera (instead of the side mirrors) and the Cristine navigation system. The seat belts , made by DGGA, were a four-point type. The interior lighting was fiber optic.

The 5.7-liter engine developed 530 horsepower and accelerated the car to 100 km/h in 4 seconds, and it traveled a kilometer in 20.7 seconds. The power-to-engine-volume ratio was 92.8 hp/liter. The wheels were supplied by OZ-wheels, and the tires were Michelin , with 235/35 ZR 18 in the front and 345/30 ZR 19 in the rear.

Trivia

The manufacturer never intended to put the car into production, despite the fact that its development cost $ 800,000 . However, in April 2013, the supercar was put up for sale by the French dealer Autodrome, priced from 1.6 million euros.
