- RECALL ALERT: On September 24, 2008, Kia issued a recall alert affecting 7,000 2008-'09 Rondo EX and LX equipped with the 2.4 litre four cylinder engine due to a fuel pump issue that could lead to fuel starvation and possible crash. Both Kia and the NHTSA urge owners take their cars to the nearest dealer or to call Kia at 800-333-4542. [1]

The Kia Carens.
The Kia Rondo has been marketed in Europe under a different name since 1999. Known in Europe as the Carens it took 7 years for Kia to bring their offering in the Compact MPV segment stateside. The Carens/Rondo is identified here instead as a crossover vehicle (A cross between a car, van, wagon whatever suits you).
In Australia, the Rondo came with a 2.0 litre engine. The Rondo7 comes with Electronic Stability Control, ABS brakes with EBD, 7 seats and CD player with iPod compatiblity and costs $24,990 AUD.
