The Kia Cee'd is a small family car to be released in the European market by the Korean automaker Kia Motors in October 2006. It will be available from launch as a five-door hatchback, with a choice of five engines (three petrol and two diesel), four trim levels (LX, EX and TX) and either manual or automatic transmissions — and will be sold with the option of over 20 variants in some markets.

  • For 2010, the Cee'd receives a mid-cycle facelift bringing it into line with Kia's current stylistic cues, set forth by the Forte and Soul. [1]

With a 2.0 L engine, the Kia Cee'd can acheive a 0-100 km/h time of 10.4 seconds. The top model in the range can rev up to 4,850 rpm and 164 Nm of torque. Compared to other cars in the range, the Cee'd is quite fast.

Reliability[]

The Cee'd is due for a service every year or 20,000 miles, whichever is sooner.

Safety[]

According to Euro NCAP, the Kia Cee'd scores 5/5 stars for adult safety, 4/5 stars for child safety and 2/4 for pedestrian safety. It has front, side head and side body airbags.

The Kia Cee'd got mostly positive reviews. What Car magazine said that the Cee'd was "The cabin is smartly trimmed, with plenty of soft touch plastics and expensive-looking decorative panels".
