Ford Windstar[]

The Ford Windstar was the replacement of the Ford Aerostar. After that, the Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivan were its replacements. The Ford Windstar minivan was made in Oakville, Ontario, Canada in the Oakville Assembly Plant. The Ford Windstar was made from 1994-2003. The Ford Motor Company no longer makes the Ford Windstar or Ford Freestar. After the Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivan were discontinued, the were replaced by the Ford Flex.


    The Ford Windstar was a success 1,704,786 were the total American sales. The success of the Windstar led to the first Ford -developed Mercury minivan the Mercury Monterrey.

  This minivan produced 155 horsepower. It has an Front wheel drive V6 Engine .

1996: Introduced in October 1995, a new 3.6 L 155 hp (112 kW) Vulcan V6 became standard on base GL models, while the larger 3.8 L V6's horsepower was increased to 200. The driver's seat gained an available tilt/slide feature for access to the rear from the driver's side.
