The Ferrari Rossa ( Ferrari Rouge , in Italian ) is a roadster-speedster concept car from the Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari , presented at the 2000 Turin Motor Show , to celebrate the 70th anniversary of coachbuilder-designer Pininfarina (founded in 1930 by Gian -Battista Pinin Farina ).
Development[]
This concept car was design by the Japanese designer Kiyoyuki Okuyama of Pininfarina based on the 1996 Ferrari 550 or Ferrari Mythos(1989). With a windshield inspired by runabout bodies , and headrests - arches extended by contours of the bodywork... The name takes up that of the legendary Ferrari Testarossa and Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa (the most expensive car in the world in 2011 following an auction of more than 16 million dollars ). It is powered by the 5.4 L V12 engine for 485 hp from the Ferrari 550 Maranello.
It inspires, among other things, the lines of the 2013 Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio Concept (a tribute to the death of Sergio Pininfarina in 2012 , and to the 60 years of historic collaboration at the top of Ferrari and Pininfarina) as well as the 2006 Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina, Ferrari J50 from 2016, or Ferrari Monza SP1 from 2019.
