Dino was a brand for mid-engined, rear-drive sports cars produced by Ferrari from 1968 to 1976.The name Dino was the son of Eno Ferrari or the founder of Ferrari.all cars gaining the full Ferrari branding. It creation was an attempt by Ferrari to produce a relatively low cost sports car by using components from more common vehicles. The Dino 246 was the first Ferrari model produced in high numbers. Universally embraced, it is lauded by many for its intrinsic driving qualities, and at the time, groundbreaking design. In 2004, Sports Car International named this car number six on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1970s. Motor Trend Classic named the 206/246 as number seven in their list of the 10 "Greatest Ferraris of all time".

Engine and Transmission[]

The Dino have a V-6 engine. Quit surprising that ferrari didn't put a better and faster engine in this car. Even the creator of the car said it was ALMOST a Ferrari.

It might be no surprise that the earliest and rarest alloy-bodied 206GT is currently at the top of the market, starting at £350,000 for a project to more than £650,000 for an excellent the example. Good Dino 246GTs range from £250,000-£350,000, with the targa top GTS topping out at around £400,000.

Racing Series[]

The Ferrari Dino Race Car Edition competed in multiple Sports Car Events since its release. Even today, some minor league racing series use the Ferrari Dino to teach new drivers.
