'Corona S/A Viaturas e Equipamentos was a sports cars Brazilian manufacturer.
Headquartered in Diadema (SP), Corona was owned by Grupo Caloi. Between 1979 and 1983, it produced the small Dardo, designed by Toni Bianco, which was inspired by the Italian Fiat X1/9. Corona also made truck bodies.
The Dart was the first Brazilian off-roader to use Fiat mechanics (it used an 147 Rallye engine and gearbox). In addition to the Dart F 1.3, Corona manufactured the Dart F 1.5.
In 1983 Corona stopped manufacturing the Dart. A businessman from Cotia (SP), bought the project, and manufactured the vehicle under the Grifo brand. This, in turn, was manufactured until 2004.[1]
