GS Birotor[]

Citroën was one of the first carmakers to join the rotary engine bandwagon. The manufacturer teamed with NSU to develop a range of twin rotary Wankel engines such as a Comotor in 1967 and the rotary engined version of the GS has been released in 1974 despite the short lived relationship with Citroën and NSU. It was quick but was more expensive to buy and run than a 4 cylinder model and the rotary engine wasn't reliable, it wasn't economical and sales weren't good as 847 Birotors were sold.

After 1 year, Citroën phased out the Birotor and bought out most of them to be destroyed so they won't have to deal with any of the spare parts.
