The Citroen DS Inside is a compact car concept which was displayed at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. Similar in dimensions to the iconic MINI Cooper, new Alfa Romeo Mito and Fiat 500, the DS concept revives the traditional DS namebadge which was retired in 1975 after 20 years of faithful service.
The Citroen DS Inside concept is based on the C3 platform and is designed to preview the upcoming production DS3 model.

Unique Attributes[]
The styling of the DS Inside is chunky and bold which helps to convey a sense of presence and security despite the small overall size. One of the more unusual features of the design is the B-pillar which appears to stop halfway up the window. In fact it is a full pillar however the designers have concealed the top section under the rear side window glass.

Worldwide[]
Around 2010, Citroën announced the DS3 Inside would be produced as the Citroën DS3 until 2016 where it was renamed to the DS3.
Design quirks and oddities[]
Developed jointly by Citroën’s Marketing and Styling teams, headed by Jean-Pierre Ploué, and the Landor agency, an international branding and design network, the logo is the first visible sign of change.
