P1280035 - BMW Autodrome de Miramas

The Circuit of Miramas is located within 2 km of the town of Miramas. It was originally built as a 5 km (3.1 mi) banked oval in the 1920s. In 1926 it hosted the French Grand Prix, which was won by Frenchman Jules Goux driving a Bugatti T39A. But the banking was of an unsuitable design for the cars of the day, and it was little used after that. Today the track is owned by BMW, and after a great deal of modification and expansion, is used as a vehicle test track.
