BMW Motorrad, is a motorcycle brand created by BMW Motor Company. Motorrad was formed in 1923 and continues to produce top rate motorcycles.
History[]
BMW Motorrad was originally an airplane engine company before becoming a motorcycle brand in 1923. Their first motorcycle manufactured was the R32. Currently, BMW Motorrad makes five different styles of motorcycles and is very active in motorcycle racing.
Current Production[]
All motorcycles are built in a large engineering plant in Germany. However, engines are made in many different countries including Australia and China. David Robb currently designs all motorcycles built.

Racing[]
Motorrad currently enters multiple motorcycles in the annual Dakar Rally. Motorrad Racing has won six Darkar Rallys.
In 2009, Motorrad entered the Superbike World Championship. Though not having much luck, they continue to race in the series every year.
