The Autódromo Internacional de Curitiba is located in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, in the city of Pinhais.

Regularly receives evidence of various categories of national speed as Stock Car, Formula Truck, CNG Tourism Cup,Pick Up Racing, Drag Race Paranaense Championship, Maserati Trophy, the Paranaense Championship Grand Prix. Tourism Cup I, Cup Tourism, Tourism Cup N and other promotional events.

With the completion of a stage of the World Championship Touring Car in 2006, the Autódromo Internacional de Curitiba becomes known worldwide and starts to attract more automobile events to the city.

History[]

The construction of the racetrack was initiated in 1965 and completed in 1967 as a circuit oval curves 3 and 2.7 km in length, when the first competitions were held motoring, motorcycling and cycling. At that time, the circuit was called Autódromo de Pinhais.


Characteristics[]

It is the most modern Brazilian circuit with improved structure after Interlagos. In its current configuration, the circuit meets the standards of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and is approved by the Brazilian Automobile Confederation (CBA) and can host competitions in various categories of motorsport, including the popular drag race. Because of its infrastructure and security, it is rated as one of the best race tracks in the world. 

Entire length of the track is 15 meters wide.

Semi-oval circuit[]

Oval circuit with 2.550 meters long.

Mixed circuit[]

Seven curves to the right and four to the left.

Great straight with 980 meters.

Total length of 3.695 meters.

The Turns[]

Low speed "S" : Sequence shaped curves "S" at the end of the straight 1000m after a strong breaking .

Binding: Also called input core is a right turn, into two parts, which usually drivers make them in full throttle.

Pinheirinho: The most technique all curves left, double radius.

High Speed "S" : a sequence S-shaped, long radius, usually made acceleration at full (or near) on the downhill with little visibility.

Victory Turn: the curve before the big straight, long radius.
