Recent Changes
As I understand it there was 2 main versions of the Audi 80. The facelift version can be determined by having the grill included as part of the bonnet. (Hood in US)
Styles and Major Options
I am certain that in relation to the Japanese market that trim levels were almost infinite, in line with each customers requirements. We get a lot of used Jap imports in NZ so it is difficult to tell what was and what was not standard in Europe/UK. I have owned 2 80's, one a NZ new anniversary edition, with a full bodykit, 5spoke wheels, leather 3spoke steering wheel, 5 cyl 2 litre engine, and lowered suspension (this may have been done aftermarket, before I purchased it). The 2nd is a billy basic 4 cyl, with 3 stage trans, coloured coded body, 15" alloys, and nice panasonic sounds. It has now done 220k kms and still runs like a top.
