In context to the Indian market, the SUV category is soon going to be blessed with one more adds on from the leading manufacturer of Czech Republican, Skoda. Skoda Auto has plans to launch its globally popular compact SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) model, Skoda Yeti in the Indian auto market. The company plans to launch Skoda Yeti only with diesel engine option with both 2WD (Two Wheel Drive) and 4WD (Four Wheel Drive) – These variants will be packed with 2.0L, 1968cc displacement. The 2.0L diesel engine will be endowed with turbo charged diesel engine with 5-speed manual transmission gearbox that will offers better performance and great fuel efficiency. It is expected that the highly powered diesel engine of Skoda Yeti will deliver maximum power of 110 PS at 4200 rpm with 250 Nm of maximum torque at 1500- 2500 rpm. Another variant of Skoda Yeti that will be available with 4WD option will be packed with 2.0L, Turbo Charged diesel engine with a displacement of 1968cc. This engine will be endowed with 6-speed manual transmission gearbox and advanced Haldex clutch. This highly advanced variant will deliver more power and torque in comparison to previous diesel model with 140PS of maximum power at 4200rpm with 320 Nm of maximum torque at 1750-2500 rpm.

It is expected that there might be another more powerful variant of Skoda Yeti that will also be launched with 4WD option and will be powered by 2.0L, 1968 cc displacement; Turbo Charged diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission gearbox and advanced Haldex clutch. This variant delivers higher engine performance in comparison to previous diesel variants and it produces 170PS of maximum power at 4200 rpm and 350 Nm of maximum torque at 1750-2500 rpm.
